We have dozens of children waiting for sponsorship of their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in Israel. For many of these families, this will be the first Bar/Bat Mitzvah in generations; for the young participants, their first and possibly most important connection with Judaism in their lives.

The families of these children have faced many challenges in adjusting to life in Israel. Sadly, many of them have had little or no exposure to Judaism. Oftentimes a Bar or Bat mitzvah is the first opportunity they have to connect to Jewish life and their new communities. But a lack of money means many of them can’t consider even the most simplest of celebrations. However…

A fun and interesting day-trip for the family, Bar / Bat Mitzvah teacher and 2 or 3 of the teen's friends to the Kotel or other destination in Israel.
You can get to know the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child that you have twinned with through correspondence and picture exchanges.
